چکیده
Abstract The purpose of this research is to specify the differences between performance cross-laminated timber (CLT) and reinforced concrete (RC) walls. study done by using finite element structural analysis design software, StruSoft FEM-Design, in order model, analyse a reference building located city Gävle Sweden. firstly modelled, analysed designed RC walls then are replaced with CLT In both buildings, other load-bearing elements such as slabs, beams columns made while roof glulam. It found that employing has advantages, especially regarding thickness. results show require larger dimensions than their counterparts. Meanwhile, it demonstrated having more reinforcement or thickness case RC. Moreover, total weight 74% lower great advantages lighter foundation being cost-effective also beneficial for environment.

A Comparison of the Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction Performance between Reinforced Concrete and Cross-Laminated Timber Structures in Residential Buildings in the Severe Cold Region of China
This paper aims to investigate the energy saving and carbon reduction performance of cross-laminated timber residential buildings in the severe cold region of China through a computational simulation approach. The authors selected Harbin as the simulation environment, designed reference residential buildings with different storeys which were constructed using reinforced concrete (RC) and cross-...
متن کاملStructural Tests of Concrete Composite - Cross - Laminated Timber Floors Final Report
Experimental tests of a composite concrete-cross-laminated timber (CLT) floor system were conducted. The floor system was constructed with 5-ply CLT panels (6.75 in. thick) made composite with a 2.25 in. thick reinforced concrete topping slab. Four series of tests were performed using different specimen configurations and laboratory testing methods. Tests included: (1) Comparative one-way bendi...
متن کاملSimulation of Nonlinear Seismic Response of Reinforced Concrete Structural Walls
In this study the performance of three macro-models in predicting the nonlinear response of different walls is investigated. The macro-models used are: Equivalent Beam Model, Multiple Vertical Line Element Model and a shear panel model developed by Massone et al. (2006). The walls are classified as slender, intermediate, and squat walls according to their shear-span ratio. First, three single w...
